“California, gypsy vibe, dreamscapes. My art plays with visual storytelling through color movement and evocative atmospheric energy to create micro and macro compositions. These inspirations are gathered from life on the North Coast of California, my dreams, connection to nature, the idea of ancestral memory, and a deep rooted feeling of “hireath”, a Welsh word that refers to a wistful longing for a dreamlike place out of one’s reach or in their past. Utilizing intuitive color palettes and shadow casting to portray evocative aesthetic compositions through transparent layers, I play with my inner visions and curiosity for the meaning of dreams, the changing mood cast by the setting sun and rising of celestial bodies, the connectivity of heritage, and the acceptance that all things in nature have an inner energy or “Orenda”. My California Gypsy Style portrays the facets of my inner meditations, dreams, memories, and uses atmospheric and transformative color to share my story and love for the land as I daydream from my side of the hill near the Lost Coast of California”.
